“But, I’m a Cheerleader” is a campy comedy, cult classic, and clever critique of heternormativty featuring classic performances from current stars, released in 2000. The premise centers on 17-year-old Megan (Natasha Lyonne), a sunny cheerleader who enjoys Melissa Etheridge and vegetarianism, and whose family is worried she is a...lesbian! Megan is sent to True Directions, a reparative therapy camp; hilarity and revelations ensue!
