Gelli Printing

Friday, August 263:30—4:30 PMYoung AdultOld Lyme PGN Library2 Library Lane, Old Lyme, CT, 06371

Gelli Printing is a type of printmaking that uses flexible, reusable plates to create patterns and images that can be pressed onto paper or fabric. Each print is different from the next (this is called mono printing) and there are no mistakes!

In this Library activity, participants will create colorful patterned paper that will use to make: Art booklets (zines), stickers, and bookmarks, and more!

Everyone will also have the opportunity to submit their work to the forthcoming Teen Magazine and/or display it in the Teen/Tween Space.

This activity is led by Kirsten Goaingos, local artist and bookmaker.
