Exercise As We Age
Thursday, January 1611:00 AM—12:00 PMCommunity RoomOld Lyme PGN Library2 Library Lane, Old Lyme, CT, 06371
Exercise physiologist, George Norden, has been working in the field of medical exercise for nearly 15 years. He began with an internship at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation in 2009, has held positions in clinical exercise physiology, and is still guiding seniors along the Connecticut shoreline to improved strength and functionality through Functional Strength & Mobility Training. He has made it his life's mission to educate seniors on the types and quantity of exercise needed to maintain or regain a healthy and active lifestyle.
In this 60 minute presentation, he will share common misconceptions of strength training as we age, how to do so safely and effectively regardless of physical limitations, and how to optimize results from an exercise program to improve strength, balance, stamina, energy, and overall functionality.
Please bring questions as George will leave ample time following the presentation to answer them in a group or privately.
